Growing up my family moved across the United States several times. Each move my scenery changed, and with it, the wildlife. I always made an effort to learn the names of the new plants and animals where I lived, and somewhere along the way they became a metaphor for change in my life. I try to replicate this experience in my work, to express the meaning I find in the world around me.
